ABOUT

About the
Biennale

The Biennale of Interactive Arts of Quebec is a new international event dedicated to celebrating video games as a form of artistic expression. Over three days, it will bring together some of the world’s most influential game creators alongside artists from film, theatre, dance, literature, music, visual arts, and academia.

More than a conference or industry gathering, the Biennale is designed as a space for reflection, dialogue, and creative exchange.

Through keynote presentations, conversations, workshops, exhibitions, and immersive experiences, participants will discover new perspectives, forge meaningful connections, and explore the intersections between artistic disciplines.

Hosted at Le Diamant in the heart of Québec City, the inaugural edition will take place in June 2027 and aims to establish Québec as an international destination for creators shaping the future of interactive art.

Our
Vision

Video games have become one of the defining artistic mediums of our time, bringing together storytelling, music, visual arts, animation, performance, design, and technology into a single creative experience.

Yet few events truly celebrate their artistic dimension.

The Biennale of Interactive Arts of Quebec was created to change that.

Our mission is to provide an international platform where game creators can share their creative processes, engage with artists from other disciplines, and help redefine how interactive works are perceived within the broader cultural landscape.

By encouraging dialogue, experimentation, and cross-pollination between artistic practices, the Biennale seeks to position Québec among the world’s leading cultural destinations for interactive creation.
